AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) will join more than 1,500 battery technologists from around the world at the 40th International Battery Seminar from March 20-23 in Orlando, Florida.
Metallurgists from AMETEK SMP will present a range of pure nickel strip products for high performance battery connectors at Booth 719.
Custom-engineered using an advanced Wrought Powder Metallurgy process, the nickel strip delivers 15-20% higher conductivity than traditional cast materials.
This improved conductivity results in higher transmission of power which enables a reduction of the battery tab connector footprint, material weight and cost.
Critical battery connector applications include battery contacts for electric vehicles, implantable medical devices and aircraft electronics.
Romeu Rei, Regional Sales Manager at AMETEK SMP, says, “We look forward to exhibiting at the Battery Seminar and showcasing our pure nickel strip for mission-critical applications. Our purity increases conductivity by 15% and enables power to be carried to the battery via a smaller, thinner strip. This saves weight and cost without compromising on performance.”
The International Battery Seminar has established itself as the premier event showcasing worldwide energy storage technology development for a variety of applications including automotive, military and industrial.
