Hamilton Precision Metals to Showcase Range of Ultra-Thin Strain Gauge Foils at InterWeighing 2023

Thursday, April 6, 2023

Hamilton Precision Metals will exhibit its precision resistor alloy foils for strain gauges at this year’s InterWeighing 2023. The international weighing instrument exhibition will take place from 20 to 22 April 2023 at the Nanjing International Expo Center in Nanjing, China.

Hamilton Precision Metals will be located at Booth 7216 for the duration of the event.

Hamilton Precision Metals is a leader in the production of foil, ultra-thin foil and rolled metal strip. The manufacturer is a specialist re-roller of a large variety of alloys, producing them to some of the thinnest gauges and tightest tolerances in the industry. The range of high-quality precision resistor alloys produced by Hamilton Precision Metals for strain gauge applications include ConstantanEvanohm® R and Nickel 270 (N02270).

Strain gauges provide a reliable and robust method of measuring pressure, force, torsion and tension. They are used in several applications including weighing equipment, gravity sensors in unmanned vending machines, and in multi-dimensional force-sensing applications, such as touch screens, smart pencils, and force sensors for pedal force electrical bikes.

Michael Zhu, Regional Sales Manager, China, says: “InterWeighing is a key event in the Hamilton Precision Metals exhibition calendar. Not least because of the high calibre of visitors and decision-makers that attend. We are proud to be showcasing our precision resistor alloy foils for specialist strain gauge applications in the weighing and measuring instrumentation markets.”

InterWeighing 2023 is organized by the China Weighing Instrument Association and attracts key decision-makers from the sector from all around the world. The event is the world’s largest trade show specializing in weighing instruments and the weighing industry. Areas covered include automatic and non-automatic weighing instruments, scales and balance weighing systems, as well as testing instruments, electronic components and materials used in weighing instrument production.
