Plymouth, U.K. (Dec. 15, 2022) - Fine Tubes employees have donated an impressive £3,500 to local charities and good causes, surpassing the amount contributed last year by £1,000. The funds were raised over the course of 12 months by employees at the Plymouth-based manufacturer of precision metal tubing products.

The chosen beneficiaries were nominated by employees and agreed on by the Fine Tubes Charity Fund Committee. They are as follows:

  • Chestnut Appeal (prostate cancer research and support)
  • The Woodside Animal Welfare Trust (local animal rehoming charity)
  • Polish Saturday School (promotion of Anglo-Polish culture in Plymouth)
  • Shekinah Mission (supporting individuals with homelessness and other challenges)
  • Waterside Scouts (development of young people)
  • Solving Kids Cancer (research and support for cancer in young people)
  • St Sampson’s Church (improve and develop the thriving community hub)
  • Plymouth Children in Poverty (supporting children in Plymouth)

Employees raised the funds by donating a portion of their salary via the Fine Tubes charitable giving scheme coordinated by the HR department. Plans are already being made for fundraising and charitable giving in 2023 so that Fine Tubes can continue to give back to its local and wider community.

Claire Baker, HR Manager at Fine Tubes, said, “We are thrilled to support so many good causes and charities this year by donating an outstanding £3,500.
