AMETEK SMP to host Medical Device Webinar for Chinese OEMs on 25 March 2021

AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) will host a free medical device webinar titled ‘Improving Patient Care Through Material Innovation’ on 25 March 2021. The webinar is aimed at informing Chinese medical device manufacturers about the company’s range of biocompatible metal materials and how they are supporting smaller, lighter, and higher-performing implantable devices across the global medical arena.

The virtual event will be presented by Michael Zhu, Regional Sales Manager for China at AMETEK SMP. Mr Zhu will focus on how innovative metal tube, strip and foil products are enabling the advancement of medical devices to improve patients’ quality of life.

The webinar will explore how the medical device landscape is evolving at a rapid pace, driven by scientific innovation, technological advances, and developments in machine learning across Asia and the rest of the world.

Medical devices are adapting and becoming smaller, lighter, and higher performing to enhance patient care, reduce risks and enable minimally invasive surgery with quicker recovery times. Many such devices use cutting-edge technology and manufacturing methods to allow in-body charging and pulse generation, as well as sensors to provide tactile feedback to surgeons while in the operating room.

Mr Zhu will explain how AMETEK SMP’s high performance materials are driving this exciting evolution through unique metallurgical properties and characteristics.

Michael Zhu says, “A rapidly changing global medical sector needs to be supported by state-of-the-art, high performing materials to maintain engineering integrity and ensure the very best patient care possible. We are proud to be at the forefront of this exciting work and look forward to welcoming as many of our Chinese customers, supporters and contacts as possible to our informative and engaging webinar on 25 March.”
