Highly Conductive Nickel Strip On Show at Virtual International Battery Seminar 2021

AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) will join more than 800 battery technologists from around the world to present its range of high purity nickel strip products at the 2021 International Battery Seminar.

Taking place online from 9 to 11 March online, the event is now in its 38th year and AMETEK SMP is a regular exhibitor.

Representatives from AMETEK SMP will be available for the duration of the virtual event to discuss the high purity nickel strip products manufactured for use in collector and connector tab applications for a wide range of batteries.

Custom-engineered using an advanced Wrought Powder Metallurgy process, the nickel strip delivers 15-20% higher conductivity than traditional cast nickel strip connectors. This improved conductivity results in higher transmission of power via a smaller, thinner strip, which enables a reduction of the battery tab connector footprint, material weight and cost.

Critical battery connector applications include battery contacts for implantable medical devices, specialist batteries for aviation and defense equipment and in the electronics, electric vehicles, and oil and gas markets.

The 2021 International Battery Seminar takes place entirely online, with delegates able to visit virtual exhibitor booths, watch product demonstrations, attend tutorials and live speaker sessions and connect with fellow attendees via direct message and private video conferencing rooms.
