Metal Injection Molding AMETEK has been supplying fine powders to the injection molding industry since 1975. Initially, the requirement was for -325 mesh powder. As the state of the art advanced, -400 mesh and -500 mesh were supplied. Recognizing the need for superfine powders for injection molding and other industry requirements, AMETEK has developed a proprietary method of producing and processing fine metal powders down to 10 microns. Special size distributions are available on a custom basis.
